What are Indirect Expenses?

Indirect expenses (often referred to as overhead expenses) are costs used to purchase items essential to your LJS restaurant, but unrelated to “direct costs” like ingredients and fish. Examples of indirect expenses include: janitorial supplies and services, uniforms, pest control, grease trap cleaning and office supplies.

Do you only have indirect programs?

We also have an “Employee Discount Program” that lets team members, their families and the families of owner/operators use special promo codes at top brands negotiated just for LJS teams.

Does it cost anything?

Nope! It’s 100% free. If you are associated with the Long John Silver’s family (Franchisee, Owner, Partner, etc.) you are automatically a member and can take advantage of our services.

What if I don't want to change vendors?

Whether you change suppliers or not is completely up to you. We will provide a free cost comparison so you can weigh the benefits of switching from your current vendor to ours based on price and service.

How much of my time will this take?

Minimal! All you need to do is send / email us copies of your invoices and current contracts. We do the rest! Our team gathers quotes from other vendors, as well as the great majority of the project implementation.

Do you provide the LJS Gift Cards?

Indeed we do! If you would like to order — or re-order — gift cards to sell in your Long John Silver’s restaurants, please contact Angela Grant.

Shouldn't my internal purchasing department already do this?

By aggregating the spend of all LJS restaurants, we are able to negotiate much lower rates than most companies can achieve on their own. We quickly reduce costs across a large number of categories, bringing in national purchasing agreements that deliver results well beyond what your staff may be able to accomplish on their own.

Do I have to use your recommendation?

Absolutely not. We realize that there is more to supplier selection than price. If you do not agree with a recommendation, you don’t have any obligation to change vendors.

Why should I do this?
